Project NEON is the largest public works project in Nevada’s history with a construction cost of $559M. Project NEON widened 3.7 miles of Interstate 15 between Sahara Avenue and the “Spaghetti Bowl” interchange in downtown Las Vegas. The project included several new HOV lanes and interchanges, reconstruction of the Charleston Blvd. interchange, Martin Luther King Blvd. realignment, and Grand Central Parkway extension to Industrial Road. The Centurion Team’s scope of services included contractor quality control field testing and inspection of all civil, MSE, utilities, structures (bridge), structures (other), electrical, paving and signs. Project NEON had a total of 269 drilled piers and 29 bridges. This project had a duration of approximately 3 years and was completed in October 2019.
