Las Vegas Boulevard Roadway Improvements – Various Phases
Major roadway, pipeline, utility, and traffic signal system improvements were constructed in various phases on Las Vegas Boulevard from Sahara Avenue to Russell Road & I-215 South.
With a construction cost over $140M, improvements along Las Vegas Boulevard included installing a new 24-inch water line with associated lateral services and installing communication and electrical duct banks, manholes, splicing vaults, and pull boxes. Removal and replacement of ACC pavement with final ¾” UTACS surface. Roadway widening, removal and replacement of sidewalks, curbs, gutters and medians, installation of high security bollards, traffic signal modifications, new ITS conduit and installation of LED streetlights and other related items. The Centurion Team performed contractor quality control field testing inspections and services for soils, concrete, reinforced concrete, asphalt, high strength bolts, materials laboratory testing, and staff augmentation for the Quality Control Manager and Quality Control Coordinator positions.
