Centurion employs only experienced construction quality assurance and quality control professionals to perform site inspections and onsite construction materials testing. In addition, our utilization of only AASHTO and AMRL certified laboratories ensures that our clients' design criteria and construction recommendations are strictly followed. Our team of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and certified technicians and inspectors from NICET, ACI, ICC, ASNT, and AWS ensures thorough quality assurance and control in all aspects of construction. This has established Centurion as a premier quality assurance agency in the Western United States.

Rene Aburto-Garcia
Chief Executive Officer
Rene Aburto-Garcia serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Centurion Team, bringing more than 17 years of construction industry experience, including over 11 years specializing in construction management, project management, QA/QC, and estimating. A gradate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to becoming CEO, Rene led Centurion’s California operations as Business Unit Manager for more than three years, helping drive growth and operational excellence across the region. His extensive project portfolio spans a wide range of public and private-sector developments. In the public sector, he has successfully delivered roadway, water infrastructure, airport, government facilities, naval ports, Air Force bases, fire stations, and educational institution projects. His private-sector experience includes hotels, casinos, commercial, industrial, retail, residential, and tenant improvement developments throughout Southern California and Southern Nevada. His broad project experience and leadership have contributed to the successful delivery of complex projects across multiple market sectors.
Jerry Reynolds
Jerry Reynolds is the Centurion Team’s President. He has over 27 years of experience in third party QA/QC special inspection services. He has ICC certifications in reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, masonry, soils, and fireproofing. His expertise is estimating and consulting for QA special inspection requirements for high-rise buildings including resort guestroom towers, convention centers, parking garages, casinos, tenant improvements for restaurants and retail outlets, etc. He is great at problem solving and has excellent relationships with owners, developers, and contractors in Southern Nevada.
Michael Biondo
Michael Biondo serves as Senior Project Manager for the Centurion Team, bringing more than 22 years of experience in quality assurance, third-party special inspections, and materials testing services. With over 12 years in project management and lead special inspector roles, he provides technical leadership and oversight for a wide range of public and private-sector projects. His extensive experience includes work on parking structures, resort hotels and casinos, commercial developments, tenant improvements, and government-owned facilities throughout Nevada. His broad technical knowledge and hands-on field experience make him a trusted resource for clients, contractors, and project teams alike.
Suzy Young
Suzy Young earned her Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has over 10 years of business development experience with quality assurance/quality control special inspections and construction materials testing services. Suzy also has over 20 years of experience focused on customer service, building and maintaining client relationships, contract review, and coordinating events. Suzy is actively involved with A/C/E associations and has held committee leadership positions with Nevada Contractors Association and the American Public Works Association Southern Nevada Branch. In 2021, Suzy received the APWA Nevada Chapter Crystal Briscoe “Spitfire” Award for Outstanding Young Professional Member of the Year.
Negasi Gebremichael, Ph.D., P.E.
Negasi Gebremichael is the Centurion Team’s, Engineering Manager. He has 15 years of experience in the special inspections and construction materials testing industry. He is a registered Civil Engineer in the state of Nevada. He earned his Bachelor of Science, Master’s Degree, and Doctorate Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Negasi expertise is in geotechnical engineering, grading, cast-in-place, and helical drilling inspections. He also supports the team with project management and engineering oversight and review. He is knowledgeable about the various soils of Clark County and has worked on projects in various jurisdictions of Southern Nevada.
Andrey Chitongco
Andrey Chitongco serves as Project Manager for the Centurion Team and brings more than 10 years of experience in QA/QC document control and project coordination, along with 5 years of project management experience supporting public works projects throughout Southern Nevada. In his role, Andrey oversees the company's Quality Control Managers and supports the implementation of contractor quality control programs across multiple projects. He plays a key role in project administration and quality management, helping maintain quality standards, coordinate project requirements, and facilitate communication between field and office personnel to support successful project delivery. His experience includes roadway, intersection, and traffic signal improvements; pedestrian bridges and shared-use trails; storm drain, flood control, water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure; ADA upgrades; and a variety of other public works and site development projects throughout Southern Nevada. His strong organizational skills and attention to detail help ensure project documentation, quality control processes, and construction activities remain aligned with project requirements.
Elizabeth Nichols
Elizabeth Nichols is an accomplished businessperson with over 25 years of experience in quality assurance special inspections and construction materials testing services. She has successfully lead teams in finance, risk management, organizational structure development, human resources, field operations, and strategic planning. As Chief of Staff, Elizabeth interacts and provides guidance to multiple departments ensuring Centurion’s core values and objectives are achieved. When away from the office, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and studying astronomy.
Selam Assore
Controller
Selam Assore earned her Bachelor of Science in Law from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. She joined the Centurion team in August 2015 and oversees business unit accounting, monthly financial reporting, and financial management for all Centurion offices. She is meticulous, organized, and has excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Selam is an asset to the Centurion team’s success by collaborating with fellow team members as well as with clients to meet deadlines and deliver results.
Josh Rogers
Operations Manager
Josh Rogers serves as Operations Manager for Centurion's Southern California office and has more than 22 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and special inspections. He is an ASNT Level III Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector certified in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). His areas of expertise include NDT, welding inspection, structural steel bolting, reinforced concrete, and fireproofing materials. Josh is also a certified USACE Quality Control Manager (QCM) and has performed inspection and testing services for K-12 schools, higher education institutions, hospitals and medical centers, commercial developments, and public works projects including water treatment plants, rail systems, airports, and projects for all branches of the U.S. military. He earned an Associate of Arts degree in Construction Inspection from Palomar College in San Marcos, California.
